Este día, la Academia de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas dio a conocer la lista de nominados
a la 87 edición de los Premios Oscar.
Las ternas fueron presentadas en el Teatro Samuel Goldwyn de Beverly Hills, por los directores Alfonso Cuarón y J.J. Abrams, así como por el actor Chris Pine y la presidenta de la Academia de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas, Cheryl Boone Isaacs.
Las películas más nominadas fueron Birdman y The Grand Hotel Budapest, cada una con 9, seguidas por The Imitation Game, con 8.
Respecto a los mexicanos nominados, además de Alejandro González Iñárritu en las categorías de Mejor Guión y Mejor Director, también se encuentra Martín Hernández por Edición de Sonido y Emmanuel ‘El Chivo’ Lubezki, por Mejor Fotografía, todos ellos por Birdman.
Además, en la categoría de Mejor Documental se encuentra nominado el documental mexicano La Parka.
